Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Operations Management Manage daily operations of the service center and workshop activities. Ensure smooth execution of vehicle PDI, storage handling, customization, repairs, and servicing activities. Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and workshop resources effectively. Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of vehicle processing and service delivery targets. Coordinate with logistics, operations, and customer service teams to ensure operational efficiency. Vehicle PDI & Quality Control Oversee Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes for all incoming and outgoing vehicles. Ensure vehicles meet company and customer quality standards before dispatch. Monitor inspection reports, quality checks, and rectification processes. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and rework. Customization & Accessories Fitment Supervise vehicle customization activities including branding, modifications, and accessory installations. Ensure proper installation standards and compliance with manufacturer specifications. Monitor inventory and usage of accessories, spare parts, and consumables. Workshop & Servicing Activities Manage all workshop operations including preventive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and servicing. Ensure workshop equipment and tools are properly maintained and calibrated. Monitor service turnaround time and workshop productivity. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. Team Management Lead, supervise, and develop workshop supervisors, technicians, inspectors, and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs. Promote teamwork, discipline, and a safety-first culture within the service center. Inventory & Asset Management Monitor spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables inventory. Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure availability of required materials. Control wastage and optimize operational costs. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe and clean workshop environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Reporting & Documentation Prepare operational reports related to workshop productivity, vehicle status, quality issues, and KPIs. Maintain accurate records of servicing, inspections, repairs, and inventory. Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements.

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

  2. Minimum 5–10 years of experience in automotive workshop or vehicle logistics operations.

  3. At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

  4. Experience in vehicle PDI, workshop management, servicing, and customization operations preferred.
