Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Service Desk & Support Engineer to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless operation of IT services. You will be the first point of contact for end users, assisting with both hardware and software problems in a professional and timely manner. Key Skills & Qualifications: Technical skills: Knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, network troubleshooting, and hardware configurations. Customer service: Strong communication skills with a customer-centric approach to support and problem-solving. Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and think critically under pressure to resolve technical issues quickly. Experience: Previous experience in IT support or a similar role preferred. Certification: IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus. Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork: Comfortable collaborating with colleagues and supporting the broader IT team to ensure smooth operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience can be considered.
- Possess certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundation are highly advantageous, demonstrating foundational IT knowledge.
- No prior industry work experience is required, but internships or projects related to IT support are beneficial for practical exposure.
- A strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS), networking concepts, and common software applications is crucial.
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
