Task Description
Service Engineer
Please note that this position is based in Brussels and offered as a permanent contract (CDI).

It is not a freelance opportunity.

The role requires on-site presence 2 to 3 days per week.
As a Service Engineer, you ensure re-active maintenance, repair, testing and provisioning activities with high-end customers, in collaboration with equipment providers and sub-contractors worldwide.
You will be in contact with our customers, proactively and reactively, ensuring that our products and services meet their expectations and that our repair work addresses any issue they might encounter.
You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment and be in touch with the top IT and Telecommunication companies in the world.

You will be responsible for

Support and handle customer complaints (B-B environment).
Online monitoring of the service performance, measuring the quality of our products and taking corrective actions both proactively and reactively.
Contribute to improving the quality of the repair activities and the service in every product domain.
Identify possible areas of network and process improvements and propose solutions
Work closely with customers and internal resources to effectively manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
Implement customer interconnection projects and transport layer configuration changes for different products/services (ex: Leased Lines, Voice, GRX, IP & Signalling) across all technologies to ensure sustainable business growth for BICS.
Take ownership for complex projects implementation and report to the customer and project responsible.
Assure data entry into network inventory databases, to allow management of the customer life cycle and provide accurate reference data to OSS/BSS.
You will work occasionally a weekend shift (max 1 / month)
Your Profile

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Strong technology and product knowledge in the area of telecom.
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum experience: 3 years.
knowledge of IP networking principles and topological structures.
Experienced in analyzing and managing IP network topologies.
You can set priorities and manage multiple tasks
Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, and flexibility to interact with customers around the globe
Experience in protocols such as MAP/SIP/Diameter/SMPP/API is a plus
Experience in GSM network infrastructure and knowledge of QoS KPI Management
Good understanding of IP networks and its topology
It is a plus if you are familiar with the enterprise support work
Language skills: fluent English & Arabic is a must.

Able to take initiative, flexible and stress resistant.
Team spirit, good collaboration with others.
