Job Description

A Service Sales Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between a company s service offerings and its customer's specific needs. This position involves not only selling products and services but also providing technical support and expertise to ensure that clients are receiving the best possible solutions tailored to their requirements. The Service Sales Engineer must possess a deep understanding of the company's services, the technical aspects involved, and how these can be leveraged to improve client operations or resolve issues. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer service skills to effectively address client inquiries and drive successful sales performance. The successful candidate will be customer-oriented and passionate about developing long-lasting customer relationships in a competitive market.


Responsibilities
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable service solutions to meet their needs.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations and service demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to tailor services that solve client-specific technical problems.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company services, technologies, and product upgrades.
  • Negotiate contract terms and service agreements in line with company standards.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research and networking activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders including clients and partners.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients during the sales process and post-purchase stages.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and marketing plans as required by management.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by proactively addressing service-related issues and technical concerns.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to stay updated on market trends and innovations.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve annual revenue targets and grow the business portfolio.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven work experience in sales, particularly in a technical or engineering context.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical products and services relevant to the industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills essential for client interaction.
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
