About Sharjah Museums Authority

Established in 2006, Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) is an autonomous government authority that links and oversees 16 museums across Sharjah, covering Islamic art and culture, archaeology, heritage, science, marine life, and regional history. SMA's vision is to be a cultural beacon enhancing Sharjah's identity locally and internationally, with a mission to deliver the highest museum standards and foster community appreciation of culture and learning through exhibitions, educational programs, and community initiatives.
