Position Overview
The Ship Operations Executive role with Achieve Group in Dubai supports dry cargo vessel operations with a focus on safe, efficient, and cost-effective voyage execution. This position suits a motivated maritime professional who enjoys coordinating stakeholders, optimizing voyages, and maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced shipping environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimize voyages in line with charter party terms and operational requirements
- Coordinate voyage logistics with vessel masters, chartering teams, port agents, and bunker suppliers
- Ensure compliance with voyage orders, safety standards, and applicable regulations
- Control voyage-related costs including agent appointments, port disbursements, and bunker procurement
- Maintain strong working relationships with brokers, agents, and service providers
- Manage accurate voyage data and documentation using IMOS or similar operational systems
- Support sustainability initiatives through fuel-efficient and environmentally responsible practices
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational excellence
- Coordinate with insurance teams on voyage incidents, claims, and P and I matters
Desired Candidate Profile
Ideal Profile
- Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies or a related discipline
- Experience as a ship officer or in vessel operations or shipping coordination is an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with IMOS or similar systems is an advantage
- Team-oriented, proactive, and detail-focused with a strong interest in shipping operations
