Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Rockwell PLC and SCADA systems tailored to client specifications, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct thorough system testing and validation to guarantee operational reliability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide detailed documentation for system configurations, programming, and operational procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and process operators, to optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on PLC and SCADA systems to enhance functionality and security against evolving industrial threats.
  • Interface with clients to gather requirements, present design proposals, and deliver project updates, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor system performance and implement improvements based on real-time operational data.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Rockwell technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance personal and team expertise.
  • Lead on-site installation and commissioning of PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that project milestones are met without compromising quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation,Electrical Engineering, Electronics,Automation, or a related field with a strong foundation in control systems.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Rockwell PLC programming and SCADA system design within industrial settings.
  • Certification in Rockwell Automation products, such as Allen-Bradley, or SCADA systems, demonstrating technical proficiency.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagram, essential for effective PLC programming.
  • Strong experience with HMI design and implementation, enabling effective operator interfaces and system interaction.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and OPC, ensuring robust data exchange.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, crucial for diagnosing and resolving system issues swiftly.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with additional language proficiency preferred for multi-national projects.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site project support and installations, adapting to various working environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, showcasing leadership and collaborative abilities.
