Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Supervision:
    • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality of work.
    • Ensure that construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and local building codes.
    • Identify and document any deviations from the design and propose solutions in collaboration with the design team.
    • Oversee and inspect the installation of architectural elements, including finishes, fixtures, and building envelope systems.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide technical guidance and support to contractors and subcontractors on architectural matters.
    • Review and approve shop drawings, material samples, and method statements submitted by contractors.
    • Collaborate with the design team to resolve technical issues and ensure constructability.
    • Stay informed about the latest construction technologies and best practices.
  • Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship.
    • Conduct detailed inspections and prepare reports documenting the quality of construction.
    • Identify and address potential quality issues proactively to prevent delays and rework.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the construction site.
    • Monitor site activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Promote a safety-conscious culture among the construction team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Architect, preferably with experience in a consulting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
