Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all mechanical construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards for oil and gas projects.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services, minimizing project delays.
- Develop and implement site-specific construction plans, method statements, and risk assessments, ensuring safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to the approved budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to identify and resolve any construction deficiencies, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Manage and supervise the mechanical construction team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal team performance.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, documenting construction activities, progress, and any issues or challenges encountered.
- Liaise with the client, project managers, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues, address concerns, and ensure effective communication throughout the project.
- Ensure proper documentation of all construction activities, including as-built drawings, material certifications, and inspection records.
- Champion a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, ensuring all construction activities are conducted in a safe and sustainable manner.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical construction management within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale mechanical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of construction professionals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as PMP or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality, with a proactive approach to risk management.
