Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review electrical layouts for solar PV systems (rooftop and ground-mounted)

  • Prepare and verify SLD, cable sizing, earthing, and protection schemes

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV plants

  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and procurement teams

  • Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, local electrical codes, and safety regulations

  • Conduct site inspections and resolve electrical issues during execution

  • Support grid synchronization, inverter configuration, and performance testing

  • Review vendor drawings, BOQs, and technical documents

  • Assist in operation & maintenance (O&M) planning and troubleshooting

  • Prepare technical reports and as-built documentation


Technical Skills

  • Solar PV design tools (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD)

  • Electrical calculations (load flow, cable sizing, fault levels)

  • Knowledge of grid interconnection standards

  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
