Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Site Engineer - HSSE to join our team based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
We envisage success in this role to include;
- Implement and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Identify hazards and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and international standards
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to HSSE standards
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
- Maintain HSSE documentation, reports, and records
- Support emergency response planning and drills
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure safe execution of all construction activities
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all site personnel
Desired Candidate Profile
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
Other selection criteria:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 10 years of HSSE experience in construction projects
- Proven experience on large-scale residential or infrastructure projects (preferably in KSA)
- Strong knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations
- Good understanding of construction activities (civil, structural, MEP)
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to influence and enforce safety compliance on-site
- Experience working in Jeddah or across Saudi mega projects
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA
- Experience with developers, main contractors, or PMC environments
