Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Role: Site Manager - Substation Projects

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Industry: Power / Substation EPC

Location: Dubai, UAE


Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of substation projects (132kV / 220kV / GIS / AIS) at site

  • Oversee all site activities across civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines

  • Ensure execution as per approved drawings, project schedules, and contract requirements

  • Manage site teams including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to maintain timelines

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and utility authorities for inspections, approvals, and compliance

  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards (DEWA / FEWA / ADDC or equivalent)

  • Oversee site planning, resource allocation, and material availability

  • Drive resolution of site-level issues and ensure smooth project execution

  • Support commissioning activities and ensure readiness for project handover


Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

  • Proven experience in substation EPC project execution (mandatory)

  • Experience managing 132kV / 220kV substation projects (AIS/GIS)

  • Strong understanding of multi-discipline coordination (civil, electrical, mechanical)

  • Experience in managing site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders

  • Prior experience working on UAE-based substation projects with utility authority exposure (DEWA / FEWA / ADDC or similar)
