Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Site Surveyor is responsible for performing precise land and construction surveys to support engineering, procurement, and construction activities. The role ensures that all structures, pipelines, and facilities are installed according to design specifications, project coordinates, and regulatory standards
Expected:
- Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in oil & gas or large-scale EPC/EPCM projects
- Proficiency in survey instruments (Total Station, GPS/GNSS, Auto Level)
- Experience with survey software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Strong understanding of pipeline alignment and industrial construction layouts
- Knowledge of international standards and codes used in oil & gas projects
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in remote and challenging site conditions
- Experience in pipeline, refinery, or offshore/onshore oil & gas projects
- Familiarity with GIS systems and digital mapping
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of HSE regulations in oil & gas environments
- Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys for project sites
- Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, and survey networks
- Perform setting out for pipelines, equipment, structures, and infrastructure
- Interpret engineering drawings and translate them into site layout points
- Ensure alignment, levels, and dimensions are accurate as per project specifications
- Carry out as-built surveys and prepare survey reports and documentation
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to resolve discrepancies
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners)
- Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards
- Support site grading, earthworks, and volumetric calculations
- Maintain records of survey data, field notes, and reports
