Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Drive and operate heavy-duty trucks and trailers carrying slickline units, pressure control equipment, and related tools to and from wellsites.
Verify proper loading, securing, and unloading of equipment and materials to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
Perform daily vehicle inspections, routine maintenance checks, and keep transport logs up to date.
Follow all road safety, traffic regulations, and transportation permits for onshore and (if applicable) offshore operations.
Slickline Operations
Assist in rig-up and rig-down of slickline equipment, including winch units, pressure control equipment, lubricators, and tool strings.
Operate slickline units to conduct well interventions such as setting or retrieving plugs, running gauges, fishing operations, and deploying downhole instruments.
Monitor and control slickline depth, tension, and pressure during operations to ensure accurate service execution.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs in the field when required.
Maintenance & Readiness
Perform preventive maintenance on slickline winches, pressure control assemblies, and associated downhole tools.
Maintain equipment certifications, service records, and ensure all tools are properly cleaned, lubricated, and stored after operations.
Support workshop teams with equipment preparation between jobs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications
Valid Heavy Duty Driver s License (e.g., UAE Heavy Vehicle License or equivalent).
3 5 years of experience operating heavy-duty vehicles in oil & gas, industrial, or logistics environments.
2+ years of hands-on experience as a Slickline Operator in well intervention or related services.
Strong knowledge of slickline equipment, downhole tools, pressure control systems (BOP, lubricators), and safe lifting practices.
Ability to read well programs, rig-up diagrams, and follow standard operating procedures.
Key Competencies
Strong commitment to HSE and well control discipline.
Safe and defensive driving skills for long-distance and challenging terrains.
Good troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude for field repairs and equipment adjustments.
Clear communication and teamwork with field crews, supervisors, and client representatives.
Ability to work in high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) environments and adapt to changing wellsite conditions.
Typical Work Environment
Field-based role at onshore wellsites and workshops, with frequent travel between sites.
