About the job offer
We are looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in Industrial Metering to join a dynamic team and work on strategic missions related to the installation, analysis and optimization of multi-utility meters (electricity, gas, diesel, water, wastewater).
You will be responsible for the evaluation of installations, the definition of appropriate metering solutions and the technical management with suppliers and partners. This position is for a senior profile (Bac+5) with more than 6 years of experience in demanding industrial environments (pharmaceutical, process, manufacturing).
Profile sought:
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial metering (electricity, gas, steam, water, wastewater).
- Ideal experience in pharmaceutical or process environments.
- Solid practice in the analysis of engineering documents and interfacing with project and operational teams.
Technical skills
- Very good understanding of measurement principles and metering technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID, PFD, SLD, isometric and installation plans.
- Production of clear and structured technical documentation.
- Knowledge of international standards: ATEX, CSA, etc.
- Training or familiarity with the selection and installation of equipment in hazardous areas (Hazardous Areas).
- Ease in multi-site / international projects.
Soft skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analysis, rigor, autonomy and sense of organization.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems and anticipate risks.
Main missions
- Perform on-site audits to assess the infrastructure and feasibility of meter installation (mechanical, electrical, civil), including on complex, constrained or retrofit networks.
- Analyze technical documentation (PFD, P&ID, SLD electrical diagrams) to identify the measurement technologies best suited, the optimal installation points and the meter sizes.
- Recommend metering solutions in accordance with customer standards:
- meter type
- accuracy class
- communication protocol
- installation constraints (ATEX zones, fluids, physical parameters).
- Provide technical support to OEMs and installers, a key contributor in the purchasing, installation and commissioning phases.
- Participate in the technical validation and monitoring of integrators, costing and supplier quotes.
Desired Candidate Profile
