Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Write compelling social media stories and articles that align with the brand voice and drive user engagement.
- Create and publish multimedia content (text, images, videos, infographics) across various social media platforms.
- Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to maximize reach and impact.
- Collaborate with editorial teams to adapt news stories for social media and ensure content is optimized for each platform.
- Engage with followers, responding to comments and messages in real-time to foster community interaction.
- Analyze social media analytics to assess content performance and refine strategies accordingly.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align social media strategy with overall brand and campaign objectives.
- Provide professional-level voice-overs for social media content.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2 4 years of experience in social media content creation, news writing, or digital journalism.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to create engaging content focused on news and current affairs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to breaking news.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) is a plus.
