Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging video scripts tailored for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and other social media platforms

  • Write strong hooks, short scripts, captions and content ideas with clear and impactful storytelling

  • Research and analyze viral videos, hooks, formats and trends within our niche to understand what performs well

  • Conceptualize creative video content ideas that align with the brand, audience and current social media trends

  • Edit short-form video content using CapCut or similar editing tools

  • Incorporate subtitles, captions, graphics, music, sound effects, transitions, b-roll and simple visual elements to create engaging videos

  • Improve video pacing, retention, structure and overall viewer attention

  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar platforms for research, content ideas, script improvement and trend analysis

  • Manage and maintain a consistent social media content calendar

  • Use planning/scheduling tools such as Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Later, Notion, Trello or similar

  • Help plan, organize and publish content across social media platforms

  • Work closely with the founder/team to turn ideas into high-quality social media content

  • Suggest new content ideas and help improve existing ideas before production

  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule and support the overall growth of the social media channels

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1 year of proven experience in social media content creation and short-form video editing

  • Strong experience editing Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts or similar short-form content

  • Proficient in CapCut or similar short-form video editing tools

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or similar professional editing software is a plus

  • Strong scriptwriting skills with the ability to create engaging and concise narratives for short-form videos

  • Good understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and current social media trends

  • Strong research skills and ability to analyze viral videos in a specific niche

  • Comfortable using AI tools for research, content ideas and script improvement

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Creative mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Organized and comfortable using software for planning and scheduling posts

  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines and take responsibility for content quality

  • Previous experience managing or supporting social media accounts is a plus

  • Experience with personal brands, creator-led content, finance, education or business content is a strong advantage

  • Portfolio or examples of previous Reels, TikToks or YouTube Shorts are required. Applications without examples of previous work may not be considered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film Production or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory if the candidate has strong practical experience

  • Currently in Dubai/UAE.


Very Important

  • This is not only a video editing role. The candidate must also be able to write scripts, research viral content, generate content ideas and help plan social media posts.

  • We are looking for someone who understands both content creation and social media growth.

  • The candidate should understand hooks, retention, watch time, pacing and audience attention.

  • Candidates should be comfortable working with AI tools, but must also have their own creative thinking and judgment.

  • Strong English communication skills are required.
