Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations and maintenance activities of the solar farm to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Lead a team of technicians and contractors in the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of solar electrical systems.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate with site management and other engineering teams to integrate solar power with existing mining operations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and incident logs.
  • Oversee the procurement and inventory management of electrical components and spare parts.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical training and mentorship to junior staff and new team members.
  • Support the planning and execution of solar farm expansion projects and upgrades.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in solar farm operations, electrical engineering, or renewable energy projects.
  • Proven experience supervising teams in an industrial or energy sector environment.
  • Strong understanding of photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, and electrical distribution networks.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in solar power plant operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system documentation.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in using monitoring and diagnostic tools for solar energy systems.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a remote or open-pit mining environment.
