Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

What you ll be doing

  • Lead the breakfast section and ensure every plate meets Joud standards for taste, presentation and timing.
  • Supervise cooks and commis: allocate sections, follow up on prep, and support during busy service.
  • Maintain daily mise en place for a high-volume caf environment (prep lists, batch production, labeling, storage).
  • Work closely with the Head / Executive Chef on new breakfast dishes, seasonal specials and menu improvements.
  • Monitor kitchen hygiene and food safety (HACCP standards, temperature logs, cleaning schedules).
  • Help control food cost through portion control, proper storage, wastage tracking and smart ordering.
  • Train and mentor junior team members, leading by example in discipline, professionalism and teamwork.
  • Coordinate with Front of House to ensure smooth service and fast ticket times, especially during morning peak.

What we re looking for

  • Minimum 3 5 years experience in professional kitchens, with at least 2 years as Sous Chef or CDP.
  • Solid background in breakfast / brunch concepts or hotel breakfast operations.
  • Confident with eggs cookery, sauces, pancakes/waffles, French toast, sandwiches and healthy bowls.
  • Strong organisational skills you can manage prep, service and staff in a busy environment.
  • Passion for quality ingredients, consistency and beautiful plating.
  • Good communication skills in English; able to lead a diverse team.
  • Flexible to work early morning shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Based in or willing to relocate within the UAE (positions open in Abu Dhabi and Dubai).
