Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation, focusing on nutritious, high-volume meals suitable for labourers and staff accommodation facilities.
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth daily operations in an industrial/factory kitchen environment.
Maintain food quality, hygiene, and presentation standards while preparing meals in large quantities.
Coordinate food preparation schedules to ensure timely meal service for workers and staff.
Monitor inventory, kitchen supplies, and stock levels; place orders to avoid shortages and wastage.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
Train and guide kitchen assistants and junior staff to maintain operational efficiency and teamwork.
Support cost control measures and efficient use of ingredients in bulk cooking operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Culinary degree, diploma, or equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an industrial kitchen, factory kitchen, labour camp catering, or large-scale food production environment.
Prior supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in high-volume operations.
Strong knowledge of bulk cooking, food hygiene, inventory control, and kitchen operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with multicultural teams.
Experience preparing meals for labourers, staff cafeterias, camps, or remote-site operations is highly preferred.
