Position Overview

Atlantis The Royal is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef Specialty to join its world-class culinary team. The successful candidate will assist the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and service are consistently maintained. This role requires exceptional leadership, creativity, and precision to deliver extraordinary dining experiences in one of the world s most luxurious resorts.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the Chef de Cuisine in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu execution and production planning.
* Supervise, train, and motivate culinary staff to maintain high levels of performance and teamwork.
* Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
* Maintain food cost targets by managing inventory, controlling waste, and optimizing purchasing.
* Assist in developing new dishes and menus aligned with the restaurant s concept and guest preferences.
* Conduct daily briefings to ensure consistent communication and coordination with front-of-house teams.
* Monitor portion control, presentation standards, and overall food quality.
* Lead by example to ensure staff professionalism, discipline, and compliance with brand standards.
* Handle guest feedback with professionalism and ensure continuous improvement in product and service.
* Ensure equipment maintenance and report any issues promptly for resolution.

Ideal Profile

* Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or Catering.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5-star international hotel or luxury restaurant.
* At least 1 2 years in a Sous Chef or equivalent supervisory role.
* Proven expertise in a specialty cuisine, with creativity and innovation in menu design.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong understanding of kitchen management, HACCP standards, and cost control.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with precision and efficiency.
* Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
