An SEN Teacher supports students with learning difficulties, developmental delays, or physical disabilities by providing tailored educational support that helps them access the curriculum. The role involves developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), adapting teaching strategies, and working closely with parents, therapists, and support staff to ensure the academic and personal development of each child.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess students learning needs through observations, reports, and assessments
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
Provide one-on-one or small group support in or outside the classroom
Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Monitor, track, and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
Use assistive technology and alternative communication methods when required
Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in special education
Help integrate students into mainstream education when appropriate
Address behavioral issues with appropriate strategies and interventions
