Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Operation
Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of communication, navigation, and surveillance systems, including radio communication systems, radar systems, and satellite navigation systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to CNS systems, ensuring minimal disruption to aviation operations. Implement corrective measures and preventive maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance
Stay updated on relevant aviation regulations, standards, and guidelines pertaining to CNS systems, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate with regulatory authorities for inspections and certifications as necessary.
Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments of CNS systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards. Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.
Training and Support
Provide training and support to aviation personnel on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CNS systems. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance staff competency and awareness.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and advancements in CNS systems to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Recommend and implement upgrades or new systems to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
Assist the management in maintaining on-going liaison with foreign and international aviation regulatory bodies on new requirements and changes to existing safety regulations to foster the safe and orderly growth of UAE Civil Aviation.
Implement Safety Affairs policies, systems, processes, and procedures so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality safety services to the UAE civil aviation industry in accordance with customer services standards.
Change Management
Participate in continuous improvement programmes within ANA as per set guidelines and project charter to enhance existing systems and processes in alignment with GCAA s objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in CNS technologies is a plus. With 3 years experience in a similar function.
Good knowledge of ICAO SARPS, Chicago Convention, International Civil Aviation Law and UAE CARs .
Understanding of GCAA aviation policies and procedures
