Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Contribute to the effective design, implementation and maintenance of the Banks s business continuity management (BCM) program to ensure that all the Bank s business groups are prepared to respond to and recover from disruptions. This includes skills, knowledge & expertise in all the BCM lifecycle stages such analysis, design, implementation, validation, awareness & policy and program management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DETAILED TASKS:

  • Coordinate the overall Bank s BCM effort and liaise with different groups BCM coordinators to make sure CM/BCP/DRPs arrangements are in place and effective.
  • Conduct regular Risk assessment (RA) & Business Impact Analysis (BIA).
  • Report RA & BIA top findings to the top management.
  • Work with business group across the Bank to develop, document, test, review and update business continuity (BC) and Disaster recovery (DR) plans.
  • Assist in crisis management in the event of a business interruption.
  • Audit BCPs & DRPs currently implemented in various business groups against agreed upon KPIs and standards, report findings and provide recommendations for correction and continual improvements.
  • Conduct ISO 22301 self-assessment for the Bank s BCM program..
  • Liaise with regulatory and other government bodies to make sure the organization complies with national and international regulations.
  • Develop, coordinate and conduct BCM awareness and training for all interested parties.
  • Work as SME by providing advices and guidelines on recognized international standards and industry best practices regarding BCM discipline.
  • Managing Projects related to BC
  • Regular review of BCM policies, procedures and other documentations to make sure they are current and up to date.
  • Mapping of the BC Program requirements to current regulatory & legal requirements.
  • Assesses business or process requirements, completed research and analysis to determine viable solutions, and makes recommendations for the bank s BCM continual improvement.
  • Enhancement of the implemented BCM SW & tools to increase the efficiency of these tools
  • Vendor management
  • Facilitate rehearsals and exercises to maintain preparedness for BC Management.
  • Manage Feedback site facilities against ARB requirements e.g. seat allocations, IT equipment and application installation requirements
  • Assist IT in the preparation of the annual IT recovery test with relevant IT and business participants and stakeholders
  • Assist Crisis/Emergency management Manager to develop/ maintain principles, policies and standards to assess, communicate, measure, and report the progress of the program.
  • An inventory of industry standards, government regulations, and contracts specific to the Crisis/Emergency program.
  • Crisis/Emergency management process & procedures
  • Prepare monthly departmental reports to capture the progress, performance and quality in order to verify all the processes that has been implemented through the month.
  • Provides management with accurate reports, regarding all aspects of Strategic Planning, along with conclusions and recommendations.
  • Manage and oversee team performance through performance planning, coaching and feedback, also to develop the skills and competencies required for effective individual professional and personal career growth.
  • Direct and ensure the effective achievement of functional objectives through leadership.
  • Adherence to all regulations and control functions within the bank in order to ensure that governance, Audit, risk and compliance, fraud detecting and combating matters are carried out.
  • Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in computer/network or related fields

Minimum Professional Certificate (if Any):

Minimum Experience:

  • 1-4 years experience in Emergency Management, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, IT or other related field required. The ideal candidate would have a blend of experience from these fields.
  • Professional certification in business continuity planning or emergency response related fields preferred.
