Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

Endpoint & Device Management (Primary: JAMF & Ivanti)

  • Architect, configure, and administer JAMF Pro for macOS/iOS/iPadOS (enrollment, profiles/policies, smart groups, patch, Self Service, scripting, compliance).
  • Operate Ivanti (Neurons/EPM) for Windows/macOS: packaging, software distribution, patch/content services, configuration/policy, remediation, and reporting.
  • Maintain platform health (JAMF and Ivanti core/services), upgrades, certificates (APNs/MDM), connectors, and capacity.

Additional Platforms (Intune & SCCM/MECM)

  • Support Intune app lifecycle, device compliance, configuration profiles, and Endpoint Security policies; collaborate on Conditional Access and co-management.
  • Support SCCM/MECM site roles (MP/DP/SUP), content distribution, application deployments, task sequences/modern provisioning, and ADR-based patching.

Software Packaging, Distribution & Patch Management

  • Package, test, and deploy applications/updates with ring strategies and rollback plans across JAMF, Ivanti, Intune, and SCCM/MECM.
  • Plan and execute monthly patch cycles; monitor compliance and remediate outliers.

Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Build/operate dashboards and reports for deployment success, compliance drift, vulnerability remediation SLAs, and license utilization.
  • Perform L2 troubleshooting; drive root cause analysis and preventive actions; identify automation opportunities.

Integration & Platform Operations

  • Intune Microsoft Defender for Endpoint: Manage integration for unified security posture, device compliance, threat-based automated remediation, and reporting.
  • Apple Business Manager / Apple School Manager: Configure and maintain ABM/ASM integration for automated Apple device enrollment (DEP) and app deployment (VPP).
  • Google/Android Enterprise: Manage Android Enterprise integration (COPE/COBO/Work Profile) for enrollment, compliance, and application lifecycle.
  • Microsoft 365 Services: Oversee integration with Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint to enforce Conditional Access and compliance policies.
  • Directory & Identity: Integrate with Entra ID/Azure AD and on-prem AD (hybrid join, co-management), certificate-based auth (SCEP/NDES), and Conditional Access signals.
  • APIs & Automation: Operate and secure API integrations (Jamf Pro API, Microsoft Graph, Ivanti Neurons) to enable automation and data exchange.
  • Observability & CMDB: Ensure telemetry forwarding to monitoring/SIEM and accurate asset/configuration data to CMDB for audit and reporting.

Governance, SOPs & Documentation

  • Produce and maintain SOPs/runbooks for packaging, deployments, patching, and incident response; ensure audit-ready documentation and change control (ITIL).
  • Support incident/problem/change processes; contribute to standardization and knowledge articles.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor s in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience: 4 6+ years in enterprise endpoint management with hands-on ownership of JAMF and Ivanti; strong working knowledge of Intune and SCCM/MECM.
  • JAMF (Primary): ABM/DEP/VPP, macOS/iOS/iPadOS at scale, scripting (bash/zsh), packages/profiles, patch policies, smart groups, compliance workflows.
  • Ivanti (Primary): Neurons/EPM administration, software distribution, patch/content, configuration, reporting, automation/remediation.
  • Intune (Additional): Device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployments, Endpoint Security policies, Conditional Access basics.
  • SCCM/MECM (Additional): Site health, SUP/WSUS, ADRs, task sequences/modern provisioning, content distribution, basic SQL for reports.
  • Identity & Mobility: Entra ID/Azure AD, hybrid join/co-management, Apple/Android enterprise integrations.
  • Security & Compliance: Endpoint baselines, least-privilege, certificate management, integration with EDR/vulnerability tools.
  • Scripting & Automation: PowerShell (strong) and bash/zsh; familiarity with relevant APIs (Jamf/Graph/Ivanti).
  • Operations Excellence: L2 troubleshooting, performance tuning, capacity planning; on-call/after-hours support as needed.
  • Process & Documentation: Audit-ready documentation; ITIL-aligned incident/change/problem practices.
  • Soft Skills: Clear communication, stakeholder management, planning, and time management in a managed-services model.

    1. Jamf 200/300 (Jamf 100 acceptable; 370 a plus)
    2. Ivanti (Neurons/EPM) certifications
    3. MD-102 Endpoint Administrator (plus)
    4. MECM/SCCM accreditation (plus)
    5. ITIL v4 Foundation
