Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
- Collaborate with medical practitioners to develop appropriate treatment plans for patients.
- Perform and oversee imaging procedures such as X-rays, MRI, Ultrasound, and CT scans.
- Ensure all imaging equipment is maintained to the highest standards of safety and functionality.
- Provide expert consultation to physicians regarding complex diagnostic cases and imaging results.
- Guide and support trainee radiologists and other junior staff members in their professional development.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records in compliance with medical regulations.
- Continually update knowledge and skills in line with advancements in imaging technology and practice.
- Lead or participate in clinical research to improve diagnostic practices and patient outcomes.
- Ensure that patients are informed about their procedures and any potential risks involved.
- Collaborate with IT specialists to ensure the integrity and security of digital imaging systems.
- Commit to continuous professional development through attending workshops and conferences.
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in radiology and completion of residency program.
- Valid medical license to practice as a radiologist.
- Extensive experience with various imaging technologies including MRI, CT, and ultrasound.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication skills to convey detailed information to patients and healthcare teams.
- Dedication to patient care and a commitment to improving healthcare outcomes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and across departments.
