SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST II King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org.)

Provides quality habilitative/rehabilitative care for patients receiving speech language pathology and swallowing services.

Demonstrates knowledge of all departmental procedure manuals(i.e., diagnostic tests and equipment).

Assist in conducting habilitative/rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication problems of organic and non-organic etiology.

Abilities to effectively communicate medical information, test results, proposed treatment, and diagnosis.

Provides education to patients and caregiver as required.

Assists in reviewing treatment plans and assesses individual s performance to modify, change or write new programme, and indicate prognosis with appropriate team leader(s) and/or head of Speech Language Pathology (SLP).

Maintains records as required by policies and administrative regulations.

Determines need for referral to other specialties in other areas and discusses with the head of SLP and/or inpatient or outpatient team leaders.

Complies with Radiation safety rules and regulation of the Hospital in accordance with KACST and K.A. CARE and other national or international regulatory bodies.

Applies ALARA principle Role within the section practice for all procedures.

Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

Participates in self and others education, training, and development, as applicable.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
