Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized and informal assessments to diagnose communication disorders accurately.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals, and tracking patient progress for effective therapy.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, educators, and families, to ensure holistic patient care and support.
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients of all ages, adapting techniques to meet diverse needs, including articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies, home practice activities, and strategies to maximize communication effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Stay current with the latest research, evidence-based practices, and advancements in speech-language pathology to enhance clinical skills.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain licensure and expand knowledge base.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring patient confidentiality and practicing within the scope of practice.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to speech-language pathology assistants or clinical fellows, as needed.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Holds a valid DHA (Dubai Health Authority) license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates expertise in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders across the lifespan.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
