Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed assessments of speech, language, and swallowing disorders to develop tailored treatment plans for each client.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance communication skills in individuals with diverse needs, from children to adults.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, educators, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Provide family education and support to help caregivers understand speech and language disorders and reinforce therapy at home.
  • Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Implement innovative technology and tools, such as augmentative and alternative communication devices, to facilitate client communication.
  • Advocate for clients’ needs within educational and healthcare settings, ensuring access to necessary resources and support.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for teachers and parents on recognizing and addressing speech and language difficulties.
  • Stay current with research and developments in the field to continuously improve therapeutic practices and client care.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, billing, and maintaining accurate client records in compliance with regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program is essential for practice.
  • State licensure and certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) are mandatory qualifications.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings, including schools and rehabilitation centers, is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates with proficiency in languages other than English are highly valued to serve diverse populations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for developing effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Proficiency in using speech therapy software and technology for treatment and assessments is a significant advantage.
  • Empathy and patience are personal qualities that help in effectively addressing clients’ challenges and concerns.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of industry trends is crucial.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity may be required for conducting hands-on therapy and engaging with clients effectively.



DHA LICENSED Speech Language Therapist and Pathologist

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology/Therapy
  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a Speech Therapist
  • Strong understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments
  • DHA license or Eligibility letter is a must
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Arabic and English
  • UAE experience is a plus
  • Immediate availability preferred
