Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and navigate a speed boat safely in various sea conditions.
• Conduct daily fishing trips, either commercial or recreational, depending on the assignment.
• Use GPS, sonar, and other navigation and fishing equipment effectively.
• Monitor weather conditions and make informed decisions for trip safety.
• Catch, handle, and store fish in accordance with regulations and best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the vessel, including engines and gear.
• Ensure compliance with maritime safety rules and fishing regulations.
• Communicate with crew and passengers clearly and professionally.
• Report catches, maintenance needs, and incidents as required.

Requirements:

• Valid captain s license (e.g., USCG license or local equivalent).
• Proven experience operating high-speed boats.
• Strong knowledge of local fishing techniques, species, and seasons.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and in varying weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and swimming ability.
• Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting boat and engine issues.
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
• Must hold a valid fishing license from the UAE.
• Holding a valid STCW.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with sportfishing or charter fishing operations.
• Familiarity with fish cleaning and packaging.
• Customer service experience, especially for charter fishing trips.
