Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled Database Developer & Administrator to join our team on a contractual basis. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of robust data solutions using the Microsoft SQL Server stack. The role balances complex backend programming with high-level data architecture to ensure performance, reliability, and security for mission-critical operations. The candidate should have 8 to 10 years of experience in SQL development and will work to support our operations in Qatar. This role involves developing, maintaining and optimizing database solutions to meet our business needs.
- Develop, implement, and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Design and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver database solutions.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with database best practices and security standards.
- Support data migration, data integration, and ETL processes.
- Provide technical support and resolve database-related issues.
- Document database designs, configurations, and code changes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Strong understanding of database design, data modelling, and normalization.
- Must have experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Must have experience with ETL processes and tools.
- Must have experience of database security practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have:
- Experience working in the Middle East or South Asia region.
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
- Certification in SQL, Azure or database management.
