Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including sales, cash, and POS transactions.
- Reconcile daily POS reports with cash, credit card, delivery platforms, and bank deposits.
- Monitor food, beverage, labor, and operating costs in coordination with Operations and Cost Control.
- Review supplier invoices related to food, beverage, and operating supplies and ensure accurate posting.
- Manage accounts payable for suppliers and service providers.
- Monitor accounts receivable when applicable.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition across the operation.
- Participate in inventory valuation and month-end stock reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly financial reports specific to restaurant performance.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting for restaurant operations.
- Ensure compliance with tax, VAT (if applicable), and local financial regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records related to restaurant activities.
- Identify financial discrepancies, leakages, and improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with restaurant manager, cost controller & procurement.
- Ensure strong internal controls over cash handling, purchasing, and inventory.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality groups.
Strong understanding of restaurant financial operations, including POS systems, cash handling, and daily sales reconciliation.
Solid knowledge of food cost, beverage cost, inventory accounting, and cost control principles.
Experience with supplier invoicing, accounts payable, and restaurant procurement cycles.
Knowledge of payroll accounting, overtime, tips, and service charge calculations.
Familiarity with tax, VAT (if applicable), and local financial regulations related to F&B.
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel (advanced level preferred).
Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and prepare management reports.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Good communication skills to coordinate with operations, cost control, and management.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
