DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive 3D CAD files from the design department, assess manufacturability, identify special tool requirements, and analyze from a CAM perspective.
- Suggest modifications to the Design Team within set timelines and incorporate approved changes.
- Participate in method meetings, provide input from the CAM perspective, and sign meeting minutes.
- Suggest improvements to methods and SOPs during programming work.
- Select appropriate tooling, machines, reference zeroes, and optimize cutting data, using the planning department s tool database.
- Use CAD/CAM software to design, simulate, and modify toolpaths for machining processes.
- Modify and optimize CAM programs to improve accuracy, reduce cycle times, minimize material waste, and extend tool life.
- Troubleshoot programming errors, resolve issues, and validate corrected programs.
- Continuously optimize machining strategies for efficiency and precision.
- Share CAM files as required to support production execution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree: Vocational or technical degree in mechanics or related field. (LT Degree)
- Language: Good command of English both spoken and written.
- Experience: +7 years of experience in manufacture industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing tools. Familiarity in routing principles for mold and component manufacturing.
