Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


Primary Purpose of the Job

Provide technical design and engineering services in Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) for all assigned engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with QatarEnergy procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Conduct Civil/Structural Engineering (Offshore) Engineering activities and in house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.
  • Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
  • Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and Codes related to Civil/ Structural Engineering (Offshore) Engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
  • Good communications and presentations skills with fluency in English.


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent preferable.
