Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Understanding the technical requirement of a project and preparing the project specification document.

  • Responsible for attending all project meetings with the Projects team
  • Responsible to coordinate with PE for design document preparation, schedule & completion.
  • Responsible for creating the piping specification in CADWorx and drawing template as per project specification and DMS requirement.
  • Preparing Preliminary Layout of skid. o Guiding Designers in preparing 3D model and Fabrication drawings
  • Responsible for conducting the 3D model review meeting with Project team members
  • Responsible for the review and verification of documents prepared by the Designers o Attend client meetings and responding to queries.
  • Coordinate work with PE and other discipline Engineers etc.
  • Implement company standard practices into design.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Responsible to follow and deploy QMS procedures, ASME U stamp procedures and OSHAS.
  • Responsible to coordinate with sub-vendors if Design activities are outsourced.
  • Motivate, coach, guide and mentoring team for the project success.
  • Research on latest software to automate design and drawings.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Mechanical from an accredited institution with good academic record and minimum 3 years relevant experience (or) DME with minimum 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in detail engineering of pressure vessels, storage tanks, etc.
  • Experience in preparation and review of structural detail drawings.
  • Experience in packaged equipment design and piping layout concepts.
  • Exposure to international codes & standards.
  • Shall have good knowledge in technical applications, manufacturing process & methods, Materials strength and its properties.
  • Strong knowledge in Plant 3D software (CADWORX / PDMS or equiv)
  • Strong knowledge in 2D software (AutoCAD / Microstation or equiv)
  • Good at usage of MS office o Familiarity in SAP (Preferred)
