Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our System Engineering & Automation function within the Analytics & ML Centre of Excellence. This role is pivotal in delivering global IT integration and DevOps support, enabling secure and reliable application hosting across Vodafone s private cloud infrastructure. The individual will lead the implementation of a production-ready solution that supports multiple clients and manages the full lifecycle of applications across Vodafone markets.

What you ll do

  • Integrate and implement DevOps tools and platforms including Kubernetes, Docker, and APIGEE.
  • Manage system upgrades, migrations, and ensure service continuity.
  • Maintain application and server availability across UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Ensure incidents are resolved within SLA and update technical documentation and knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with vendors and utilise internal tools to resolve service requests.
  • Prioritise and manage multiple open cases effectively.

Desired Candidate Profile

Holder of a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experienced in cross-functional projects of varying complexity.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and influencing across organisational boundaries.
  • Strong understanding of business requirements and process innovation.
  • Technically proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiar with Nexus, SonarQube, AWS, UNIX/Linux administration, DNS, Proxy, and connectivity techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP and AWS) and DevOps tools such as Ansible, GitHub, Chef.
  • ITIL Foundation certification and Remedy background are advantageous.
