Job Title: Senior Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to oversee and manage electrical works on various MEP projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of experience within the MEP contracting sector, with a proven track record in executing and delivering electrical systems in line with UAE standards and project specifications. TAQA approval and UAE driving license are highly preferred.

This role demands a strong understanding of electrical systems design, execution, and coordination with other disciplines. The candidate should be capable of independently handling site activities, authority approvals, and project milestones while ensuring technical compliance, quality standards, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all electrical aspects of MEP projects from planning through execution and handover.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with client and authority requirements.
• Supervise electrical site activities including installation, testing, and commissioning of systems such as power distribution, lighting, earthing, ELV, etc.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, main contractors, and local authorities for inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
• Ensure that project milestones are met within budget and quality standards.
• Lead project engineers, supervisors, and technicians to maintain proper coordination and workflow on site.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for internal and client review.
• Support procurement by reviewing material submittals and coordinating with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and electrical safety standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (attested in UAE).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the MEP contracting sector in the UAE.
• TAQA approval is preferred.
• Equivalency Certificate is an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, ADDC standards, and local authority procedures.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and relevant electrical design tools.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range: AED 15,000 - 20,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
• Additional benefits as per UAE Labor Law (visa, insurance, annual leave, etc.)
