Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary Purpose of the Job
Provide technical design and engineering services in Instrumentation & Control Engineering for all assigned engineering projects. Achieving the technical quality of work in accordance with QatarEnergy procedures, whilst considering quality, schedule, cost and HSE.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10 years relevant post graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to the Oil & Gas industry.
- Conduct Instrumentation & Control Engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects, from initial concept definition phase through to, engineering studies, FEED, detailed design and commissioning
- Develop, update and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities and effective project delivery
- Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.
- Review and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and practices
- Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to instrumentation engineering.
- Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple project environment.
- Good communications and presentation skills with fluency in English.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
