Role Description

The Senior Project Manager – Payments and Digital Banking will lead the delivery of complex, mission-critical payment initiatives across cards, payments, integrations with CBUAE services, and digital banking platforms. The role is accountable for end-to-end program execution across enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and national payment infrastructure standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale payment transformation programs covering cards, switching, real-time payments, and digital banking platforms - Successful delivery of payment transformation projects within approved scope, budget, and timelines

  • Drive end-to-end delivery from initiation through execution to go-live, including vendor management and system integration - Projects delivered end-to-end on time, within budget, and with successful go-live and integration

  • Ensure compliance with internal RCB compliance mandates - Full compliance achieved with zero major audit findings

  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders across business, IT, operations, compliance, and external vendors - Strong stakeholder alignment and satisfaction, with no major escalations

  • Drive delivery excellence with clear KPIs on scope, timeline, cost, quality, and benefits realization - Projects delivered with measurable KPIs met (scope, time, cost, quality, benefits) in line with IT PMO standards and templates

  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date project plans maintained at all times, with clear task ownership, dependencies, and progress tracking, enabling proactive issue management and on-time delivery

    - Updated detailed projects plan maintained under the PMO project management software

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Experience: 10–15 years in Banking/Fintech, with at least 5+ years managing large-scale payments or digital banking programs

Certifications: PMP and/or PRINCE2 (preferred)
