About the Division

The EAME Distribution Division manages Cat distribution across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia. The division provides clear guidance and support across all Cat dealers in the region to ensure their strong performance and their execution of the segment growth strategies. The division also delivers superior customer experiences, profitable services growth, and industry leadership.

Job Role & Responsibilities

Africa Distribution Region is looking for a driven and passionate Senior Marketing & Sales Operations Representative to join the East Africa District team, covering the dealers Mantrac, Sutrac, Henri Fraise, Ezentus and SCIMAT.

As a Marketing & Sales Operations Representative, you will collaborate with Cat Dealers and Caterpillar internal business partners to build capability, drive process improvement, and execute Marketing & Sales related strategies to improve customer experience, sales performance and drive growth. Bring your marketing, sales, digital, project management skills and analytical mind to ultimately develop solutions which support dealer profitable growth while meeting customer needs.

In this role you are expected to:

  • Elevate dealer solution selling capability
  • Deploy and use new customer experience framework
  • Deploy marketing automation processes (Digital Marketing)
  • Improve segment specific capabilities from Segment Growth Council prioritization
  • Consult with dealers on ways to improve marketing and sales capabilities, sales performance and customer experience, supporting the overall business development process to ensure profitable growth, while meeting customer needs.
  • Advising on existing and potential customer experiences issues and improvement measures.
  • Drive appropriate engagement within various levels of the dealership and Caterpillar internal partners to ensure project and initiative execution and enhance dealer capabilities and performance.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve problems regarding business plan execution, operational improvement, and achievement of targets, and act as facilitator and liaison between dealers and appropriate Caterpillar subject experts.
  • Govern dealer execution of the programs that increase sales and improve customer experience.
  • Manage communications on Marketing & Sales updates with Dealers and internally.
  • Keep up with market, industry and technology trends affecting the business and competitive environment.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A completed university degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field.
  • Must be proficient in English (French is a bonus)
  • Customer focus: ability to create customized customer solutions.
  • Value Selling: ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs
  • Project management: strong, proven experience in project management, stakeholder management, strategy execution and governance.
  • Effective Communications: strong, proven interpersonal skills including public presentation proficiency and ability to earn trust and credibility with senior dealer management teams.
  • Relationship Management: strong skills working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and the ability to influence and resolve differences and issues, ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Problem Solving: ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
