Position Summary The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-grade network infrastructure supporting cybersecurity operations, SOC environments, and red teaming engagements. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, and advanced network defense systems

.________________________________________Core Responsibilities • Architect, deploy, and manage complex LAN/WAN architectures, multi-site VPNs, and cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls across Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Juniper platforms. • Implement Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) and micro-segmentation strategies. • Design and maintain redundant, high-availability network systems using HSRP/VRRP and load balancing technologies. • Manage IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and network address management (NAT, PAT, IPv6). • Perform deep packet inspection and traffic analysis using Wireshark, Zeek, and other monitoring tools. • Integrate with IDS/IPS, SIEM, and SOAR platforms to detect and mitigate threats in real time. • Collaborate with VAPT and Red Team units to simulate attacks, validate security controls, and close vulnerabilities. • Develop network hardening baselines, ACLs, and firewall policies aligned with CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001 standards. • Execute network penetration testing support and implement remediation for identified weaknesses. • Maintain detailed network topology documentation, asset inventories, and configuration backups. • Provide Tier-3 escalation support during incident response and forensic investigations. ________________________________________ Technical Proficiencies • Routing & Switching: Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Mikrotik, Juniper, FortiSwitch, VLAN, STP, trunking. • Security & Firewalls: Palo Alto NGFW, FortiGate, Cisco ASA/Firepower, pfSense. • VPN & Remote Access: IPsec, SSL VPN, GRE, DMVPN, and remote user configuration. • Network Monitoring: SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, and SNMP-based systems. • Cloud Networking: AWS VPC, Azure VNets, VPN Gateways, Network Security Groups (NSG). • Protocols & Tools: DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS, TACACS+, Syslog, NetFlow, Wireshark, tcpdump. • Automation: Python scripting, Ansible playbooks, or Cisco DNA Center API familiarity. ________________________________________ Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, or Information Technology. • Certifications (Preferred): o Cisco CCNP / CCIE (Enterprise or Security Track) o Fortinet NSE 4–7 o Palo Alto PCNSE o CompTIA Security+ / Network+ o AWS Certified Advanced Networking o Offensive Security Network Defender (OSND) ________________________________________ Experience • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network design, implementation, and security operations. • Proven experience in high-availability, enterprise-grade, and security-focused environments. • Exposure to red teaming or SOC environments is an added advantage. ________________________________________ Key Attributes • Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. • Ability to operate under pressure during incidents or live engagements. • Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to evolving threat landscapes. ________________________________________ Why Join Depth Defense • Work alongside elite cybersecurity experts and red team specialists. • Hands-on exposure to enterprise defense, threat simulation, and advanced network design. • Culture built on Integrity, Excellence, and Customer Trust — empowering you to lead from the front.
