Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Taxation:
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT filings, excise tax, and corporate tax compliance as per UAE laws.
- Keep abreast of new and emerging tax regulations in the UAE and other operating geographies.
- Lead the implementation and compliance of UAE Corporate Tax regulations across the group.
- Handle tax assessments, audits, and queries from authorities.
- Review tax positions of all group entities to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory to minimize tax liabilities.
Compliance:
- Ensure the group complies with all applicable legal and regulatory obligations (local and international), including Economic Substance Regulations (ESR), Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO), and AML (Anti-Money Laundering).
- Develop and implement a compliance framework across group companies.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and policy manuals.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate tax and compliance records for audit readiness.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for senior management on tax positions, risks, and compliance status.
- Liaise with banks, tax consultants, and legal entities as needed.
Team & Cross-functional Coordination:
- Coordinate with finance, legal, operations, and HR departments to ensure integrated compliance.
Train and mentor finance and business teams on compliance and tax updates.
