Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Senior Planning Engineer will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting for large-scale building construction projects. The role involves developing baseline schedules, tracking project performance, identifying delays, and ensuring timely completion in coordination with project teams.
- Develop detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules
- Monitor project progress, productivity, and performance against planned timelines
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare extension of time (EOT) claims
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, consultants, and clients
- Prepare weekly & monthly progress reports, dashboards, and MIS reports
- Identify critical activities and ensure resource optimization
- Track procurement, engineering, and construction progress
- Support tender planning, including time schedules and manpower histograms
- Implement and maintain planning standards and procedures
Desired Candidate Profile
BE/BTECH CIVIL with exp in project planning / high rise building /
- 018 years of experience in planning & scheduling
- Minimum 5+ years in GCC (Qatar) preferred
- Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or large residential projects
- Experience working with MNC construction companies
- trong expertise in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and reporting tools
- Knowledge of construction methodologies (civil/building projects)
- Experience in delay analysis techniques (EOT, claims, risk analysis)
- Understanding of contracts (FIDIC preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent coordination and communication skills
