Roles & Responsibilities

Senior Producer - Public Liberties & Human Rights
Al Jazeera Media Network are seeking a Senior Producer to join the Public Liberties & Human Rights team. You will be responsible for reporting and production from the field, in-house news scripts and graphics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, write and edit stories under the supervision of Executive Producer and head of PLHR news and programs' production.
  • Produce accurate, impartial, informative, up-to-date news stories and packages.
  • Ensure content and coverage is consistent with Aljazeera standards.
  • Read in and have an overview of international updates through all available sources (news wires,other agencies, newspapers ...etc.).
  • Participate in the editorial meeting and propose ideas on what news stories need more coverage and content development.
  • Suggest creative story ideas.
  • Prioritize writing tasks to deliver stories on time
  • Produce packages in the field if required.
Education:
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Law, Journalism, Media, Communication or other related fields.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in writing, producing and reporting in a newsroom as a journalist.
