Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical jobs and troubleshoot on board vessels with 2-stroke engines from Sulzer, W rtsil , and WinGD.

Perform Field Service activities related to Service Products installation for 2-stroke diesel engines on board vessels.

Perform mechanical and/or electronic & automation related installation of Service Products and W rtsil 's solutions for engines in service.

Perform technical assessment of the installations and conduct pre- and final commissioning of the installed product according to the guidelines.

Work on site with Field Service team members, managing the service activities during the execution of the work.

Interact with customers during work execution.

Interact with Field Service and Technical Service back-office during work.

Submit internal and external reports for work progress status, updates, and final reports for the assigned work.

Prepare final Service Work Report and report travel-related expenses on time, ensuring expected W rtsil quality.

Desired Candidate Profile

BSc in Mechanical/ Marine, Electric & Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering or experiences in the related Marine 2 stroke field.

Ability to work on engines with field service & marine engineer background.

Ability to understand, use and correct electrical and automation schematics and drawings, and related component level documentation.

Suitable real-world knowledge and experience related to control system specification and design, PLC programming and diagnostics, marine power distribution, motor control, process sensors and instrumentation, valves, pumps, fans and other process system componentry.

Knowledge of machinery/field service work experience

More than 2 years' experience of similar task Marine Engineer with engine room experience is added avantage.

Good command of English, written and verbal
