Staff Data Scientist (Business Analytics) - Remote

We re hiring a Staff Data Scientist (Business Analytics) to lead strategic analytics and causal measurement for high-impact growth initiatives.

In this role, you ll build the frameworks that guide leadership decisions forecasting outcomes, sizing opportunities, measuring ROI, and uncovering true incrementality across the business. You ll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure resources are directed toward the highest-value opportunities.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who combines deep statistical expertise with strong business judgment and the ability to communicate insights clearly.

• Design and maintain forecasting models for revenue, GMV, merchant growth, and other key drivers
• Lead opportunity sizing across new products, pricing strategies, and market expansion efforts
• Develop causal measurement frameworks (e.g., synthetic control, diff-in-diff, geo-experiments) to evaluate true business impact
• Build a scalable measurement playbook covering incrementality, attribution, and counterfactual analysis
• Create segmentation and scoring models to drive prioritisation across sales, marketing, and merchant success
• Define and evolve decision-grade metrics and KPIs with Finance, Product, and Commercial teams
• Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
• Mentor and elevate analytical rigor across the data science team

Discover the Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or applied statistics within a tech environment.
• Strong experience designing, running, and analysing large-scale A/B experiments (including pitfalls like SRM, peeking, and novelty effects).
• Deep understanding of event tracking and analytics instrumentation best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python (pandas, scipy, statsmodels, etc.).
• Solid grounding in statistics: hypothesis testing, power analysis, causal inference, and experimentation design.
• Experience defining product health, guardrail, and north-star metrics.
• Proven ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Strong communication skills with experience influencing senior stakeholders.

• Are fluent in Arabic language.
• Based in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah or Makkah preferred).
• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with experimentation tools (Eppo, Statsig, LaunchDarkly, Optimizely).
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Metabase) and modern data stacks (dbt, ClickHouse, BigQuery).
• Knowledge of Bayesian methods, sequential testing, or bandit algorithms.
• Experience working in the GCC region.
