Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Evaluate user needs and system functionality to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing IT services that meet business objectives.
Own the diagnosis and resolution of complex IT incidents across infrastructure layers to minimize downtime and service disruption.
Implement, maintain, and optimize network infrastructure components, ensuring scalability, availability, and compliance with IT standards.
Collaborate with the System Administration team to approve and deploy updates, patches, and configuration changes that enhance system performance and security.
Ensure smooth operation of all IT systems including endpoint protection, print services, and email platforms through regular monitoring and performance evaluations.
Administer and secure IT systems to maintain optimal reliability, resilience, and alignment with organizational security frameworks.
Deploy and operate security tools to detect, analyze, and remediate vulnerabilities across diverse systems and applications.
Contribute to the continuous development of security policies, procedures, and governance protocols to safeguard Sumerge s IT assets.
Maintain and approve accurate technical documentation and IT asset inventory to ensure traceability, accountability, and compliance readiness.
Supervise and mentor junior IT engineers, fostering technical growth and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to resolve escalations and improve process efficiency.
Report daily progress, incidents, and risk updates to the Senior IT Infrastructure & Security Engineer to ensure operational visibility and alignment
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or network management within a technology-driven environment.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT and network issues with minimal supervision.
Strong understanding of network architecture, information security principles, and system optimization techniques.
Proficiency in endpoint management, backup and recovery tools, and cloud-based environments.
Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with a proactive and ownership-driven mindset.
