stage manager/technician

The French Institute of Morocco

Under the authority of the Deputy Director of the French Institute Marrakech and reporting to the Secretary General, the stage manager/stage manager/technician, under the supervision of the head of the technical department, is responsible for the technical aspects related to the activities of the branch (cultural programming, language courses, media library, cooperation, etc.) as well as the technical maintenance of the Institute's premises.

His/her main responsibilities will be:

• Technical support for sound, lighting and all other installations related to cultural activities both inside and outside the Institute's premises
• Fixed Asset Monitoring: Ensure the supervision and monitoring of technical fixed assets for all departments of the IF Marrakech
• Performance compliance: Verify that performance venues comply with the technical specifications provided.
• Technical installation: Setting up the necessary equipment (sound, light, video) for shows and cultural events.
• Projections and control room: Ensure and supervise DCP version projections and manage the control room during evening events.
• Equipment maintenance: Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and infrastructure.
• Technical interventions: Resolving specific technical problems and ensuring compliance with safety rules.
• Documentation and coordination: Drafting technical documents, coordinating tour needs and organizing venue schedules.
• Providing recording services for shows, conferences, etc.
• Hanging and monitoring of exhibitions
• Working in coordination with all technical staff and other departments of the Institute
• Small DIY projects
• Technical logistics (handling, transport of equipment, preparation of rooms)

The stage manager/stage manager/technician may be required to collaborate with external service providers, particularly for the rental or acquisition of missing technical equipment.
