Roles & Responsibilities


A Static Equipment QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality and compliance of static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping components. The inspector verifies that all fabrication, welding, installation, and testing activities meet project specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Inspect fabrication and installation of static equipment (e.g., tanks, vessels, boilers, exchangers) according to design specifications and standards.
Conduct dimensional, visual, and welding inspections during various stages of production and assembly.
Review and verify material test certificates (MTCs), welding procedure specifications (WPS), and welder qualifications (WQR).
Supervise or perform non-destructive testing (NDT) activities such as RT, UT, PT, and MT.
Ensure compliance with codes like ASME Section VIII, API 650/620, and project-specific standards.
Monitor hydrostatic, pneumatic, and other pressure tests for static equipment.
Document inspection findings, prepare reports, and ensure quality records are maintained.

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3 5 years of relevant experience in inspection of static equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry sectors.
Certifications such as CSWIP, AWS-CWI, API 510, or ASNT Level II in NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT) are highly desirable.
Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO).
