Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the design and project management teams to align structural solutions with project vision and client requirements
  • Develop detailed shop drawings, material take-offs, and BOQs for steel and tensile structure project
  • Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure feasibility and compatibility with design intent
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure technical specifications and material quality are met
  • Conduct structural analysis using specialized software (e.g. SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Provide technical support during the fabrication and installation phases
  • Ensure compliance with local and international codes, safety standards, and best engineering practices
  • Optimize structural designs to ensure cost-effectiveness and structural integritybr> Prepare periodic progress reports and technical submittals for project stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in steel structure and tensile structure detailing
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and SAP2000 or equivalent analysis software
  • Strong knowledge of international and local design codes (e.g. AISC, BS, Eurocodes)
  • Experience in preparing shop drawings, BOQs, and material take-offs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with fabrication and installation procedures of steel and tensile structures
